Vivint and Alder Security both offered wireless and battery-operated intrusion and environmental safety sensors. We really like that Vivint also offers a tilt sensor due to its ability to let you know when your garage doors have been opened and shut. Unfortunately, Alder Security doesn’t offer this type of sensor, and they are even lacking a glass break sensor for their system. Because Vivint has more basic equipment than Alder Security, we are giving them the win for this category.

It isn’t a big competition between Vivint and Alder Security when it comes to this particular category. Unfortunately, Alder Security doesn’t really offer any home automation equipment while Vivint has plenty of home automation devices for you to choose from. However, Alder Security does have some really nice video surveillance cameras, and they are offering some of the tops brands of home security cameras that are currently out on the market.
