When shopping around for home security you want to make sure the company that you go with offers the equipment and monitoring services that you are looking for. There are several really great companies out on the market that offer personalized security solutions, but today we will be taking a look at and comparing what Frontpoint and Protect America have to offer.
Frontpoint has a really easy to use control panel that connects all your devices to one place. The control panel that Frontpoint uses has a very simplistic design that is super easy to use. The Frontpoint control panel comes with the base station and a separate keypad for you to control the base station. The separate keypad designed to be separate so that you can place it in another location keeping it more secure in case a home invasion takes place.
The Frontpoint Control panel itself has Crash and Smash which means that even if the control panel is damaged by an intruder, it will still transmit a signal to your monitoring station. Frontpoint and Protect America both offer pretty decent control panels. We like the simplicity of the Fronpoint control panel, and we think it is super easy to use. The Simon XTi control panel however has a ton more basic features than the one offered by Frontpoint, and we like the fact it is a touchscreen control panel. Because Protect America offers a more advanced control panel with more features, we are giving them the win for this category. However, we still feel the XTi is pretty outdated in terms of today’s technology. For something more advanced and with a lot more bells and whistles for around about the same price, consider the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 by Link Interactive.
